Podcast Recommendation – Hardcore History

I first learned about Dan Carlin from last week’s post though his main podcast is Hardcore History. I cannot recommend Hardcore History enough. Its not your history teacher’s account of history unless you had the coolest history teacher ever.

Fortunately, both in high school and college, I had some of the best teachers and professors, and they would appreciate Hardcore History.

My teachers and professors were not ones to give straight lectures with dates. Instead they gave context to what was happening elsewhere in the world and what similarities there are to today. Carlin makes you feel like you’re there without any visual aid, just his story telling. Its podcasting at its best.

My only warning is that these podcasts are long but also are not frequent. I just break them up like an audio book. Hardcore History is good stuff. Check it out.
